Wood's Produce

Food Safety

Food safety is a primary focus at Wood’s Produce. We understand that food safety is everyone’s responsibility and we ensure that food safety is a priority in every step of the supply chain to prevent the risk of contamination.

We require our suppliers to be third party audited in accordance with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarks and that our product is shipped on refrigerated trucks to prevent breaking the cold-chain. Within our facility, we have established rigorous food handling procedures, strict security measures to prevent bio-terrorism, and comprehensive sanitation procedures to ensure that we handle our produce in a safe manner. Our facilities have achieved Safe Quality Food Institute Level 2, USDA Good Handling & Agricultural Practices, and USDA Preventative Food Defense Procedures certifications.
